New Saravana Mens Beauty Parlour

Our place, New Saravana Mens Beauty Parlour, is located at No 135 on Thanneerpanthal Road in Peelamedu. It is part of the P R Puram area here in Coimbatore. The road is always moving with bikes and cars going past. We have a couple of chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable for a quick sit. The mirrors line the wall and we keep our clippers and sprays on the small glass shelves below them. Every morning starts with a quick sweep of the floor because the hair from the day before somehow always hides in the corners. It is a typical mens parlour where guys come to talk about local stuff or just sit quietly while they get their hair cut. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. The light comes in from the front door which we keep wide open. You can see the shops across the road and the people walking to the bus stop. It is a simple life here in Peelamedu. We know most of the guys who live in the nearby streets. They come in every few weeks. We don't try to make it look like something it isn't. It is just a workspace where we spend our hours from morning to night, handling one customer at a time. The radio plays some local music while we work. It is a basic shop for regular people.
