Nehru Nursery & Primary School

Nehru Nursery & Primary School is found in C N Palayam, within the Chinnapanaickenpalayam area. We are a small school that looks after the little ones, from nursery age up through primary. The building is quite modest, just a few rooms where we have the different age groups separated. We have colorful posters on the walls to make it look a bit more cheerful for the children. Since we are in C N Palayam, most of the kids come from just a few streets away. It’s common to see parents walking their toddlers to the gate in the morning. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few teachers who are good with kids and a helper to keep the place clean. The playground is just a small area with a bit of sand and some toys that have seen better days. It gets quite lively during recess with all the shouting and running around. We spend a lot of time on the basics like alphabet songs and simple math. The furniture is all small-sized to fit the children, which always looks a bit funny when the parents come for meetings and have to sit on tiny chairs. We don't have any big fancy equipment, just some blocks and picture books. It’s a simple setup meant to give the local kids a place to start their education without having to travel too far from home. We just do our best with what we have and keep the place running.
