Metro Saloon

Our place is right on DB Road in RS Puram. Being opposite Sri Krishna Sweets means there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by. It is one of those busy parts of Coimbatore where things never really slow down much. The shop is at Door No 453. We open up early enough to catch the morning crowd before they head to work. It’s a basic saloon, nothing over the top. We have the usual chairs and mirrors. You can hear the bikes and cars outside all day long. Sometimes the smell of sweets from across the street drifts over here. Most of our regulars have been coming for a long time. They just walk in, sit down, and we get to it. We don't really do much advertising because people just know we’re here. It gets crowded on Sundays, so sometimes people have to wait a bit on the bench. We try to keep things moving. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a living. RS Puram has changed a lot over the years with new shops opening up, but we’re still at the same old spot. It feels like home to us. The light comes in through the front window in the afternoon. We just keep the scissors moving and chat with whoever is in the chair. It can get noisy with all the horns honking, but that is just life in the city. We keep the shop open late.
