Marathi Salon

Marathi Salon is located at No 200 on Vilankuruchi Road in Saravanampatti. We are right opposite the housing unit, which is where a large number of our customers come from. It is a very convenient spot for people who are just coming home from their jobs in the evening and do not want to go far. The shop itself is pretty basic and honest. We have the usual chairs, some mirrors that have a few spots on them from age, and a tiled floor that we have to sweep every hour to keep things tidy. Saravanampatti has grown a lot lately, and Vilankuruchi Road is always packed with traffic these days. We hear the sound of buses and horns all day long. Inside, we just focus on the hair and the shaves. Some of the residents from the housing unit across the way come over just to sit for a minute and escape the afternoon heat. We do not have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of good ceiling fans that keep the air moving enough. Our tools are well-used and we keep them sharp. It is just a normal day-to-day business where we try to be useful to the people living around us. There is nothing corporate about how we run things here. We open the door in the morning, drink our tea, and wait for the first person to walk in. It is a steady life in Coimbatore.
