Protech Hydraulics

Our workshop is located out on Athipalayam Road, right near the Muthoot Finance building. If you know the Chinnavedampatti area, you've probably passed by our gate at No. 75/1 Kunninayakker Thottam. Protech Hydraulics is basically a place where we fix things and get our hands dirty. We deal with hydraulic parts and heavy machinery all day. It’s often oily and loud, but that’s the nature of the work. We have some heavy equipment inside and a few workbenches where we pull things apart to see what's wrong. Most of the guys here have been working with tools since they were young. We don't spend much time in the office; we're usually out on the floor. The yard has some parts sitting around, and it can look a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Being near the post office helps with deliveries, though the road can get dusty when the trucks go by. It’s a practical business. We don't have a website or a marketing team. If a machine breaks down, people bring the parts here, and we try to get them working again. It's steady work. We open early in the morning and stay until the last job is finished. It’s just how we run things here in the Thottam. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay busy throughout the year with whatever repairs come in.
