This parlour is on V K Road in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. We are situated quite close to Ananda Bakery, which is a good spot for people to grab a snack after they visit us. I decided to put Ac in the name because Coimbatore can get very humid and hot. Having the air conditioning makes a big difference for the customers sitting in the chair. It’s a decent-sized shop for this part of town. I handle most of the hair cutting and beard trimming myself. The floor is made of simple grey tiles and I try to mop it twice a day. We have a few bottles of different hair oils and shampoos on the shelf. They aren't the most expensive brands, just the ones people like and trust. Being near Peelamedu, we get a mix of students and working men. Some come in looking for a complete change, while others just want the same trim they’ve had for twenty years. I don't talk too much while I work unless the customer starts it. I find that some people just want to sit in the cool air and relax for a bit. The shop sign is a bit faded from the sun, but people know where we are. It’s just a straightforward business, keeping people looking neat and staying cool while we do it. The tea from the stall next door is quite good too.
