Blooms Unisex Salon And Spa is inside Selva Towers on Kamarajar Road in Coimbatore. Being near Mani makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their shopping. We have been here in Peelamedu for a while now. The shop is a bit bigger than a regular barber because we have sections for both men and women. It is not as quiet as some of the other places because we have more going on with the spa stuff too. I spend a lot of my time folding towels and making sure the shampoos are stocked up. The traffic on Kamarajar Road is always loud, so you can hear the buses and cars all day. We have big glass windows that look out onto the street. The floor is white tile and it shows every bit of hair, so we are constantly sweeping. It feels a bit more modern than the old-style shops but we still keep things simple. People come in for all sorts of things, not just haircuts. Some want to sit and relax for a bit away from the Coimbatore humidity. The chairs are the swivel kind and they are pretty new. We have some plants in the corner that I try to remember to water. It is a busy place but we try to keep a calm feeling inside despite all the noise from the towers and the road.
