Bloom Unisex And Spa is over at No B2 Selva Towers on Kamarajar Road in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. We are situated quite close to Manis Theatre, so on movie nights, the whole area is buzzing with people and the smell of popcorn. The spa is a bit of a different world once you step inside from the noisy road. We have rooms for the spa treatments and chairs for the unisex salon part. It’s a place where anyone can come, whether it's for a haircut or to just sit and relax for a bit. The towers are a bit busy with other businesses too. We spend a lot of time folding towels and making sure the oils and shampoos are stocked up. It’s not a glamorous life, just a lot of manual work and being on your feet. The water heater sometimes acts up in the morning but we usually get it fixed quickly. We have some plants near the entrance to make it look a bit better. Customers come from all over Peelamedu. Some are regulars who have been coming since we opened and others are just passing through. We don't talk about our vision or anything like that. We just focus on the person in the chair or on the table. It’s a practical business and we try to keep the prices fair so people can come back. The traffic on Kamarajar Road is probably the biggest headache we face every day but we deal with it.
