A. Velraj & Sons

My grandfather started things here at 53, Bharathi Park. We've been on Cross Rd. No. 6 for a long time now. People around here just know us as A. Velraj & Sons. It's a family thing. We show up every morning, open the doors, and get to work. There isn't much to say other than we've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. The trees got bigger and the traffic got worse, but we stayed put. We handle things the old way, mostly. Paperwork piles up on the desks and the phone rings more than it used to. It's just us running the show. We don't have a big team or anything fancy. If you come by, you'll probably see one of the sons or maybe even Velraj himself if it’s early enough. We don't bother with fancy signs or big ads. Word of mouth has always been enough for us. It’s a bit dusty in the back, but we know where everything is. Sometimes it gets hectic, especially on Mondays when everyone seems to need something at once. We just take it one day at a time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We like the routine of being here. It’s what we know. Not much else to tell. We’re just a local spot doing what we do. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just keep the business going as best we can.
