Kalpavruksha Raitha Bandu Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Anaberu. We work from Umapathi G’s place, he’s the son of Govindappa. It’s a very local operation, rooted right here in the village. We don't have a big fancy office in the city. We do our business from the house and the fields. It’s more personal that way. When someone has a question about their crops or needs help with supplies, they just walk over and we talk it out. There’s no formal reception desk or anything like that. We spend most of our time out checking the plants or talking to the other farmers in Anaberu. It’s a quiet place, but the work is constant. There’s always something to be done, whether it’s planning for the next planting season or figuring out where to sell the current harvest. We don't use big words or have complicated plans. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to make the best of it. Sometimes the harvest is good, sometimes it’s lean, but we stay together as a group. Being a farmer producer company means we are all in it together. It’s about the people we’ve known our whole lives. We keep our records in simple books and try to stay on top of the rules. It’s just the way we do things here in this small village. It keeps us grounded and busy.
