Our place is in Anaberu, specifically in A K Colony, house number 397A. It’s out in the Mayakonda area. This is coconut country, so that’s what we spend all our time on. We are a group of farmers who decided to work together to handle our produce. The office is basically just a house that we converted so we have a place to meet and keep our records. It’s very informal. You might find some of us sitting on the porch talking about the weather or the price of coconuts. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a place in the village where we gather. Being in A K Colony means we are close to the people we work with. We know everyone’s name and whose trees are doing well this year. It’s a quiet life compared to the big cities. We deal with the harvests and figure out where to send the coconuts once they are picked. Sometimes we have meetings that last all afternoon because there’s a lot to discuss about the logistics. We don’t use any big fancy words or have a board of directors. We just talk about the soil and the trees and the rain. It’s a simple way of living and working, and we like it that way. We just keep track of the bags and the trucks that come and go.
