The estate is a beautiful place, very green and quiet compared to the noise of the bigger towns. We are focused on both the farming side and the food processing side of things. It’s a lot of work to keep an integrated farm running smoothly. One minute we are out checking the soil and the next we are back at the estate house making sure the food side is being handled safely. We don’t have a big staff, just a few dedicated people who don't mind getting their boots dirty. The weather in Kelagur can be unpredictable, with a lot of mist and rain sometimes, but that’s what makes the crops grow so well. We don’t really do any promotional stuff. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or by visiting the estate. It’s a quiet life but a very busy one. We take pride in the fact that we handle everything from the ground up to the final product. It is a long process that requires a lot of patience. We just take it one day at a time and hope the harvest is good.
