We are the Byadgi Chilly Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our home base is in Torangal, and we operate out of the place belonging to Mrs. Hemakshi. If you know anything about this region, you know how important the chillies are. We aren't a corporate giant; we are just a bunch of farmers who grow the local chillies and decided to join forces. Working from a local residence like this makes things feel more personal. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass doors. We usually just sit around and discuss the market and how the crops are doing this year. Torangal is where we spend our days. It’s a lot of hard work and the sun can be quite brutal, but we are used to it. We don't spend money on marketing or polished presentations. We’d rather spend that time in the fields or making sure the bags are ready for transport. Mrs. Hemakshi is kind enough to let us use this space as our central point. It’s where the records are kept and where the decisions get made. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic with everyone talking at once, but that’s how we’ve always done things.
