Winter Wear

If you're looking for us, we’re on Poonamallee High Road in Arumbakkam. The address is a bit confusing because the old number was 435, but now it's New-813. People still get lost sometimes trying to find the door. Winter Wear has been sitting on this busy road for a good while. It's not exactly cold in Chennai most of the year, which people find funny given our name, but we stay busy regardless. The shop is filled with stacks of stuff. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to walk, but we know where everything is. The fans are always going because it gets stuffy inside with all the fabric around. We open up in the morning and stay until the street lights come on. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. My nephew helps out on the weekends when he's not in school. We don't do much advertising; people just walk in or hear about us from a neighbor. The traffic outside is constant, so there's always a hum of engines in the background. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it gets a bit messy. That's just how a real shop operates. We aren't interested in being a big mall store. We like being right here on the main road where we can see everyone passing by. It’s a simple business, really. We just show up and do our thing every single day.
