Pepers

Up on the first floor above Babys Dayout, that’s where you’ll find Pepers. We are on Chamiers Road in R A Puram. It’s a good location, though being on the first floor means people sometimes walk right past us if they aren’t looking up. Chamiers Road is always moving. There’s always noise from the street below. We’ve been in this building for some time. The stairs are a bit narrow, but once you get up here, it’s a decent space. Chennai heat is no joke, so we do what we can with the fans. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. Most of the decisions happen right over the counter or in the back room. We just wanted a place where people in R A Puram could come for a meal. It’s not decorated by some professional designer. We just put up what we liked. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the entrance since it’s above another shop, but they figure it out eventually. We keep the menu to things we know how to make well. It’s a small team here. We all do a bit of everything, from taking orders to cleaning up at night. It’s honest work. We are at No 105 on the first floor. It helps to keep an eye out for the Babys Dayout sign since we are right above it. R A Puram is a busy part of the city. Being in the 600028 area means we get a lot of local residents. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the food is ready. It’s a simple arrangement.
