Gdr Imports & Exports is located on Lakeview Road in West Mambalam. Our address is Old No. 157, though the new number is 86. People sometimes get confused by the two numbers, but we've been here long enough that most folks figure it out. West Mambalam is a crowded neighborhood with lots of narrow streets. Lakeview Road is a bit easier to navigate, but it still gets busy during the morning hours. We handle both imports and exports. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with different agencies and shipping lines. Our office is an old-fashioned space. We haven't felt the need to modernize the decor because the current setup works just fine for what we need. We have a few desks and a lot of shelves for our files. It’s a local business through and through. We know the neighbors and the local shops nearby. Sometimes we have to move quickly when a shipment arrives unexpectedly. It keeps the day interesting and keeps us active. We aren't trying to be some global giant. We just want to do our job and make sure the goods move smoothly from one place to another. There’s a lot of history in this part of West Mambalam, and we’re glad to be part of it. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just buy, sell, and ship things. If you're on Lakeview Road, look for number 86, that’s where you’ll find the Gdr team working away.
