Hiq Leathers

We've been here at Baroda Street for a while now. West Mambalam is a busy spot, and our shop at 5/9 A is right in the middle of it. Hiq Leathers is just me and a couple of others working with leather every day. People come in looking for things, and we try to help out with whatever they need. It gets pretty dusty here sometimes with all the work going on. The morning starts with opening up the shutters and seeing who walks by. Sometimes it's neighbors, other times it's folks just passing through. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Most days are long, but that's how it goes when you're running a small place like this. We keep the scraps in the back and the finished pieces out front where people can see them. Sometimes the traffic on Baroda Street is loud, but you get used to it after a few years. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just Hiq Leathers. We deal with the materials, talk to the customers, and go home when the sun goes down. If you're around West Mambalam, you've probably seen our sign. It isn't anything special, just a place where we do our work and try to keep things moving. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we're still right here at the same address.
