Adithyaa Leather Garments

You can find us at K. R. Koil Street in West Mambalam. The address is a bit confusing because it’s Old No. 86 but the New No. is 68. People get lost sometimes looking for it, so we tell them to just look for the old number if they can't see the new one. At Adithyaa Leather Garments, the smell of leather is everywhere. It’s a strong smell, but we don’t even notice it anymore. We work with a lot of different hides. Some are thicker than others. Cutting leather takes a steady hand and a sharp blade. We’ve got a few old machines that still run better than the new ones we tried. West Mambalam is a busy place, and the street gets crowded. We’ve been here for quite some time. It’s a small shop, really. We keep the rolls of leather stacked in the back and the finished jackets or whatever we’re making near the front. It gets dusty, and there’s always scraps on the floor. We sweep up at the end of the day, but by the next morning, it’s messy again. That’s just how it goes with leather work. It’s hard on the hands, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just sit at the benches and get to work. It's a living and we're used to it by now.
