V.V. Enterprises

Our office is at No. 20 on Pantheon Road in the Egmore area. If you know the city, you know this road has a lot of history and a lot of traffic. We are right in the thick of it. The building we are in is an older one, so it has some character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We have been running things from here for a good number of years. It’s a bit of a walk-up, and the stairs can be tiring on a hot afternoon. Inside, we have our desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with various things as an enterprise, so no two days are exactly the same. One day we might be dealing with local suppliers, and the next we are sorting out some regional stuff. Egmore is a busy hub with the station nearby, so there is always a sense of urgency in the air. We don't really have a reception area; people just walk in and find whoever is free. It’s a very informal setup. We like it that way because it feels more honest. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall down the street while we go over the day's tasks. It is just a regular local business trying to stay on top of things. The noise from the street is constant, but you stop noticing after the first hour.
