Sujitha Enterprises

Our shop is tucked away in Pozhichalur, right across from the bus terminus in Kalliamman Nagar. The address is a bit confusing because of the old and new numbers, but most people just look for Arokiya Madha Street. Sujitha Enterprises is what we call the shop. This is a busy little area with the buses coming and going all the time. You can hear the horns and the people shouting from morning until night. We sell various things here, mostly stuff people need for their houses. It’s a small family-run spot. Opening up happens early before the first bus arrives. My wife helps with the accounts in the afternoon when the kids are at school. Some shelves are a bit wobbly, but they hold the stock just fine. Big supermarkets in the city are different from us. Here, we know most of the people who walk through the door. Conversations about the weather or local news happen while we wrap up their items. Sometimes the rain floods the street a bit, and we have to put boards out so people can get inside. Websites aren't something we bother with. We just rely on the people living nearby in the neighborhood. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve been at this spot for a long time. People know us and we know them. That is how we like it.
