Voltas Ltd

We’ve been here at Amman Koilst in Kuthambakkam for a while now. Most people around Chennai know the spot. It’s a busy area and the heat gets pretty bad during the summer months. Being at 1/35A keeps us right in the middle of things. We just open up the shutters every morning and get to work. There isn’t much to say about us that isn’t obvious when you walk in. We deal with the usual stuff you’d expect from a place like Voltas Ltd. The shop isn't fancy. It has some dust on the shelves sometimes because the road outside is always under construction or something. We try to keep things moving. If someone comes in looking for help, we talk to them plainly. No one here is wearing a suit or using big words. It's just a local workplace. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break. That’s how the day goes. We handle what comes our way. The address is 1/35A, Amman Koilst, and if you’re in this part of Tamil Nadu, you’ve probably passed by us. We don’t have a big sign with lights, just a regular place where work gets done. It’s quiet in the evenings once the traffic dies down a bit. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years. Buildings go up and shops change hands, but we’re still here doing our thing. It’s a simple life for us. We just keep going. No one is trying to be a hero here.
