Sree Jai Engineers

Sree Jai Engineers is tucked away in the Sidco Industrial Estate at North Phase in Pattaravakkam. The address is No. 31A/15. If you’ve ever been to Pattaravakkam, you know it’s mostly factories and workshops. It gets pretty loud with all the machinery running nearby. We’ve been in this unit for quite a few years now. The floor is concrete and always has a bit of dust on it no matter how much we sweep. We have our tools and the workbench set up exactly how we like them. It’s an industrial area, so there isn’t much in the way of scenery, just a lot of metal and grey buildings. We spend most of our time fixing things or putting parts together. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound but it keeps us cool enough during the summer months. There is a small tea shop about a five-minute walk away where we go during the afternoon break. Most of the people around here know us by now. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. You just walk in and you’re right there in the middle of where the work happens. It’s practical and it works for us. We stay busy with the orders that come in from other businesses in the estate. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. Sometimes the grease is hard to wash off our hands at the end of the shift.
