Our office is tucked away in the Ais Housing Complex, specifically unit F-07/02, over in Virugambakkam. We are quite close to Natesan Nagar, which makes it easy to find once you know the general area of Chennai we are in. Vkm Magnus Venturesexim Private Limited is a long name for what is essentially a small team of us working on import and export tasks. Being in a housing complex means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which we appreciate when we are trying to get the paperwork done. We spend most of our days on the phone or tracking shipments on the computer. It’s not the most exciting work to describe, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have people coming by to discuss orders, and we usually just sit around the main table in the front room. The Virugambakkam area has changed a lot over the years, getting more crowded, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, there is some coffee going in the small kitchen area, and the sound of the fan is the main background noise. We handle all sorts of goods depending on the month. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure we have the right stamps on the right documents. We just try to get through the day’s list without making any big mistakes. The security guards at the gate know us well since we get so many deliveries.
