VIT is located in Vellore, and it is a very large place. If you walk around the campus, you will see thousands of students heading to their classes or just hanging out under the trees between lectures. It stays busy from early in the morning until quite late at night. There are a lot of different buildings, and honestly, it is very easy to get lost if you are new to the area. We have labs, libraries, and hostels spread out all over the grounds. It feels like its own little town sometimes because everything you need is right here. The weather in Vellore gets really hot during the day, so everyone tries to stay in the shade or find an air-conditioned room when they have a break. There is always some kind of event, a workshop, or an exam going on somewhere. It is not just about the books and studying, though. You see people playing sports on the fields or working on hands-on projects in the various workshops. It is a lot of noise and constant energy. The canteen is always crowded during the lunch hour, and you have to wait a while to get food. We have been a part of the landscape here for a long time. It is not a quiet or isolated place. It is a loud, active environment where people are just trying to get their degrees and figure out what they want to do next.
