Student

Triplicane is one of those spots in Chennai that never seems to go to sleep. Our workspace is located at 16/27 on Chinna Thambi Street. It is a narrow street, which is very typical for this old part of the city. We call the place Student, and we have been in this particular building for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a bit of fresh paint, but the place works just fine for what we need it to do. It is a busy area with a lot of history and students living in various hostels nearby. We see a lot of different people coming through the doors every day. The 600005 area is always buzzing with some kind of activity. Inside 16/27, we just focus on keeping things moving along. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist. You just come in and find a place to sit. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but that actually makes it a little quieter than most other parts of Triplicane. We have some old wooden tables that have been here since we first opened up. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use a few battery lights. It has a very local, neighborhood feel. We don’t try to act like some big, polished corporation. We are just a small part of Chinna Thambi Street, doing our thing every single day.
