Down at Plot No. 87 on Shanthiniketan First Street, you’ll find our office space. This is the Madambakkam side of town, near Chennai. Srm University uses this spot as a local administrative hub. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a lot quieter than the main city parts. The door number is 7, and the building looks like a regular house from the street if you aren't looking for the sign. Inside, we’ve turned the rooms into working offices. We have stacks of papers and rows of filing cabinets in almost every corner. It can get a bit crowded when the whole team is in at once, but we make it work. The staff here is mostly local, so we spend time talking about the neighborhood and the traffic. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy reception desk. You just walk in and someone will be sitting there at a desk. Most of the day is spent answering emails and sorting through student records. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s what keeps the university side of things running properly. Sometimes the internet slows down, and we all just take a breather until it works again. We like being in Madambakkam, Tamil Nadu 600 073 India, because it’s a bit more relaxed than the city. We usually have our tea together in the small kitchen area. It’s just a normal workplace where people try to get their work done before the day is over.
