Garuda Exports And Imports is located over at No. 6 Boopathy Street. If you know Virugambakkam, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time. It’s just a standard building, nothing special to look at from the outside. We handle both stuff coming in and stuff going out. It keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the traffic on Boopathy Street makes it hard for deliveries, but we make it work. We aren't some massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a handful of us making sure things get where they need to go. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It isn't glamorous work, but it pays the bills. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which is a bit of a pain, but we have a backup generator. We’ve seen other shops come and go on this street. We just stay focused on our own pile of work. Most of our neighbors are nice people. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they need something moved through Virugambakkam. It’s a decent place to work. We try to keep things organized, though papers do pile up on the desks sometimes. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy with imports and exports. We just keep our heads down and get it done.
