Vinitha Collections

You can find Vinitha Collections right across from the vegetable market on Bazaar Road in Saidapet. Being near the market means it’s always busy and there’s a lot of noise from the vendors and shoppers outside. Our shop at number 61 is usually filled with bags and boxes because we don't have a separate warehouse to keep things. We just pile everything up in the back and try to keep a path clear for people to walk through. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but it works. We’ve been in Saidapet for a while and we know the other shopkeepers on the street pretty well. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract people, they just come in while they are doing their grocery shopping across the street. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a set routine, we just open the doors and see what the day brings. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just tidying up the shelves after a busy morning. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We don't use any complicated software to keep track of sales, we just use a ledger and a pen. It feels more real that way. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot on a busy market road.
