Vijay Impex

Vijay Impex is located on the first floor at No. 297 Mint Street. If you know this street, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts all day long. Getting up the stairs to our floor can be a bit of a squeeze when we are moving stock around, but we manage. The office isn't much to look at, just some old desks and stacks of papers that seem to grow every week. We spend most of our mornings checking through what came in the previous night. It’s hot in the summer, even with the windows open, but we have a small cooler that helps a bit. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you out, usually with a pen tucked behind their ear. We’ve been on Mint Street for a long time, and we’ve seen shops open and close all around us. We stay because the location works for getting things in and out quickly, even with the traffic. Sometimes we lose track of time when things get busy, and suddenly it’s dark outside and the street is finally getting quiet. It’s a bit messy here and there, and we probably use too much tape on our packages, but it gets the job done. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the list each day until everything is finished and the doors are locked.
