Victory Tech Engineering is tucked away on 1st Street in Mariammal Nagar. If you are looking for us in Puzhal, you have to find Kavangarai first. It’s a bit of a dusty area with a lot of small shops and workshops around. We are at number 17. The shop floor is where most of the action happens. You’ll hear the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of the machines running. It gets quite hot in Chennai, especially in a place like this where there is a lot of welding or cutting going on. We don’t have an air-conditioned reception or anything like that. Just a small desk where we keep the logs and the registers. The guys here have grease on their hands most of the day. We take on engineering jobs that people bring to us, usually repairs or making small parts. It is a local operation through and through. The neighbors know us and we know them. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy but we keep working anyway. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to take fancy photos. It’s just us and our tools. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the parts fit. That’s the most important thing in this line of work. People come to us because they know we are right there in the neighborhood and we don't charge for things they don't need.
