We are Coimbatore Compressor Engineering Company and we are based at No. 8/22 in the H Block on 2nd Street. Yes, it’s 2nd Street in that particular section of the area. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you don’t know the blocks well, but once you find H Block, we are right there. Our workshop deals mostly with compressors and the parts that make them run. It’s a noisy business, as you can imagine. There is always the sound of air or motors being tested in the background. We’ve got a lot of heavy equipment around the floor. We aren't one of those big modern factories; it’s more of a traditional engineering setup. The walls are a bit stained from oil and the floor has seen better days, but the machines we work on are what we focus on most of the time. We have a small team of guys who have been doing this for a long time. We don't really do much advertising. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people who have known us for years. The H Block area has a lot of other small workshops too, so it feels like a good fit for us. We drink our tea outside when it’s not too hot during the lunch break. Every day is pretty much the same, just checking valves and fixing motors. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail.
