Kaizen Engineering Products

Our place, Kaizen Engineering Products, is at New 76 Sembudoss Street. If you know this area, you know it is right in the heart of the old trade district. The street is always packed with carts, trucks, and people moving metal parts around. Our building is old, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it somewhat cool despite the Chennai sun. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with engineering components and heavy boxes. There is a fine layer of dust on everything because of the construction work nearby, but we try to wipe down the main counters every morning. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where you come in, tell us what you need, and we go find it in the back. The lights flicker sometimes when the heavy machinery in the shop next door starts up. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the bills and a landline phone that rings constantly. It is loud and busy, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been at this same spot for years and the routine doesn't change much. We open up early, deal with the suppliers, and make sure the orders are ready for pickup by evening. It is hard work and the days are long, but that is just how things go on Sembudoss Street.
