Out here at Barathinagar, things are usually pretty steady. Vestir Sourcing Private Limited operates out of door number 708/3-B. It’s not a massive glass building or anything, just a practical space where we can get things done. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking samples that come in through the door. Sourcing sounds like a big word, but mostly it just means we find the right materials and make sure they get where they need to go. There are samples of fabric and trim everywhere you look. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. We’ve tried organizing the shelves, but they always end up full of new stuff within a week. The street outside is usually quiet enough, which helps when we’re trying to count items for an invoice. We don't have a receptionist; if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to see who it is. We deal with various suppliers and factories all day long. Some days are slow, and some days everyone seems to call at once. We just handle it as it comes. We’ve been in Barathinagar for a while now and the locals know us. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they need someone to track down a specific type of fabric. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. No fluff, just work.
