We are located on the first floor of Marble House at 118/6 Vepery High Road in Periamet. If you know the area, you know it’s the heart of the leather trade here. You can smell the leather as soon as you turn onto the street. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, with wooden desks and stacks of hides in the corners. We’ve been working with leather for a long time, so we know the material well. It’s a hands-on job. We spend a lot of time feeling the texture of the skins and checking for imperfections. It’s not the cleanest work, as there’s always a bit of dust and scrap lying around. The building itself, Marble House, has been around for ages, and our space reflects that history. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so it gets warm in the afternoons. We just keep the fans going and keep working. Most of our day is spent negotiating with suppliers or checking on orders for our customers. It’s a very specific kind of business, and the people in Periamet all know each other. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market prices. There are no fancy brochures or corporate talk here. We just know leather and we know how to trade it. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’re quite content with it. We aren't out to change the world, just to keep our little corner of the leather trade running smoothly.
