Vel Tech. Engineering Works

Vel Tech. Engineering Works is located on Galaxy Road in Ponniyamman Nagar. The address says New Number 64, but some old maps still show it as Number 85. It’s over in Ayanabakkam. We’ve got a workshop here where we handle various engineering tasks. It’s not a shiny new facility, just a place with the right tools for the job. We have lathes, drills, and welding equipment that have been with us for years. They might look a bit worn, but they get the job done accurately enough. Most of our guys have been here a long time and they know the quirks of every machine we own. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil by the end of the day. We clean up, of course, but it’s an engineering shop, so it’s never going to be spotless. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth around the neighborhood. We take on repairs and small manufacturing jobs that the bigger shops won’t touch. Sometimes we stay late when a difficult project comes in or when a customer needs something fixed urgently. It's honest work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just fix things and build parts. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-task with grease on our hands. That’s just the nature of the business. The neighbors are used to the sound of grinding metal during the day.
