We are located on Thambu Chetty Street, which is always packed with people and traffic. Our office is on the third floor of the building at New No. 161. It’s an old building, and you can really feel the history of the area when you walk in. Vas Green Farmers Producer Company is basically a group of people trying to help each other out. We work with a lot of different farmers. Most of our time is spent looking at lists and talking on the mobile. It gets loud outside with the horns and the street vendors, but we’ve grown to like the energy. C3 is our little corner. It’s a bit cramped with all the files and folders, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s more about the guys on the ground. We drink a lot of tea and try to figure out the best prices for everyone. The stairs up to the third floor keep us fit, that’s for sure. We’ve been here long enough that the neighboring shopkeepers know us by name. It’s a practical setup. We handle the business side of things so the farmers can focus on their land. It isn't glamorous, but it is necessary work that keeps us coming back every morning. Thambu Chetty Street has a way of keeping you on your toes. If you aren't careful, you'll get swept up in the crowd before you even reach the building at Old No. 80. We just try to stay focused.
