Sahyadri Agro International

You can find Sahyadri Agro International at No. 13 on Kumarappa Street in Nungambakkam. We deal with agricultural products, mostly things coming in from the farms nearby or further out in the state. Nungambakkam is a pretty central area, which makes it easier for people to drop by and see us. Our office is fairly basic and lacks any real decoration. We spend a lot of our time talking to farmers or checking on shipments that are arriving. Sometimes the quality of the produce varies because of the weather, and that’s just part of the job we have to handle. We have to be careful with the storage so things don't spoil in the heat. It gets a bit hectic during harvest season when everyone wants their stuff moved at once. We’re just a small group of people who understand how the local markets work. The street outside can get quite narrow when there are trucks parked there to unload. We try to keep things moving as fast as possible so we don't block the neighbors. Most of our day is spent tracking prices and making sure the orders are ready for the morning. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people just know us from the market or because they've dealt with us for years. It’s a lot of work, but it's okay.
