If you drive down the Palladam-Cochin Frontier Road, you will find us located in Appanaickenpatti Village. We are at SF NO.400/2B2 in the Sulur area. Ultrafibre Non-Woven is a place where we make various non-woven materials. It is a bit out of the main city center, which is actually quite nice. There is more space for the machines here. The air feels a little clearer too compared to the town. We have a factory setup that can be quite loud when everything is running at once. We spend most of our time maintaining the equipment and checking what comes off the line. Non-woven stuff is used for a lot of things people don't even think about in their daily lives. We see it every single day. The crew here is mostly local folks from the village or the nearby houses. We are not a huge multinational company with hundreds of managers. We are just a private limited outfit trying to run a steady operation. The road out front is quite important for our transport because we see a lot of lorries going back and forth toward the coast. It can get pretty hot under the big shed roof in the summer months. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going. We don’t have any fancy marketing people in suits. We just focus on the rolls of fibre we produce. Some days are long, especially when a machine breaks down. We just fix it and keep moving.
