Transpol Impex Pvt. Ltd. is located over in Rangarajapuram at No. 18 B-1, Svt Maligai on Karnan Street. It’s a bit of a quiet residential pocket, which makes for a peaceful place to work. The building, Svt Maligai, is one of those older structures with a lot of character. Our office is a small suite inside. We have a few desks pushed together and some shelves that are pretty much overflowing with binders and catalogs. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s functional for us. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or typing out emails to people all over. Karnan Street isn't too wide, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when a delivery van comes through. We’ve got a small balcony where we keep some potted plants that look like they need more water than they get. The floors are made of old stone that stays cool even when the weather is hot outside. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how everything works. Usually, we have a radio playing low in the background while we sort through the day's tasks. It’s a very grounded sort of place. We don't go in for fancy presentations; we just handle the import and export business as it comes. It’s our little corner of the world where we keep things moving.
