We are based at Plot No.238 in the T. N. Complex. It is right on the Main Road near Mangadu. If you drive past, you will see the big concrete mixers and the piles of gravel. The office is just a small part of the complex. It’s usually busy with drivers coming in for their slips. We spend most of our time looking at the weather because rain can really mess up a concrete pour. The ground around the plot is usually uneven and covered in stone chips. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. It’s just us answering the phone and trying to keep the trucks moving. Mangadu is a busy area and the Main Road is always packed with people going to the temple or to work. Sometimes the dust from the yard blows over to the road, which we try to keep down with water. It is honest, heavy work. The days are long, especially when we have big jobs that start before the sun comes up. We don't use a lot of big words or have meetings. We just get the concrete mixed and sent out. The equipment breaks down sometimes and we have to fix it ourselves on the spot. It is just a regular life in the concrete business and we like it that way because it keeps us busy.
