Kasthuri Garments

We are located at No. 34 C Periyar Nagar, which is right in the Kanagam area, just via Tharamani. Being near the Taramani IIT Research Park Bake Site means there is always a lot of movement around here. Kasthuri Garments isn't a massive factory or anything like that. It’s just us working with fabrics and thread every day. Most of the time, the shop is full of cut pieces and finished clothes waiting to be picked up. We spend most of our hours behind the machines. The noise of the needles is just part of the background now. Sometimes people find it a bit tricky to locate us exactly because of the small lanes, but once you see the sign near the bake site, you’re basically there. We’ve been here for a while, just doing our thing. There isn't any fancy decor or air conditioning that works all the time, just regular ceiling fans and piles of work to get through. The street outside can get pretty busy, especially with the researchers and students from the nearby park passing by for snacks or lunch. We mostly focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the measurements are what the customer asked for. It’s a lot of manual work. My hands are usually busy with measuring tapes or chalk. It’s a simple setup at Periyar Nagar, nothing too complicated, just a local garment place trying to keep up with the daily orders that come in from the neighborhood.
