Our office is situated at No. 35 on the Second Cross in the Sixth Block of T. Nagar. If you’ve ever been to T. Nagar, you know it’s a very crowded place with people everywhere. We are a bit lucky because our spot on the Second Cross is a little bit away from the main noise of the big shops. Sumo Exporters has been around this neighborhood for quite a few years. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of files piled up. The work involves a lot of coordinating and making sure things are packed right for shipping. Chennai is usually hot, and our office can get stuffy, so we keep the fans going all the time. It’s a small group of us working here. We aren't big on corporate rules or formal meetings. We just talk across the room to get things sorted. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment needs to go out urgently. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business. We see the same neighbors every morning when we open the shutters. The tea stall nearby is where we usually end up for our breaks. It’s just a regular day-to-day life for us here in the Sixth Block. We keep our files organized, or at least we try to, though it gets a bit messy when we are busy. We just keep going.
