Robe Export

We are located at Number 117 in Pondy Bazaar, right in the middle of the T. Nagar area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Chennai, you know how incredibly crowded and loud it can get. There are street vendors everywhere and people walking at all hours. Our shop is just one of many along this stretch, but we’ve been here long enough that the regulars know us. It’s a bit of an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is worn down from all the foot traffic. We handle a lot of exports, so there are always boxes being taped up and labels being stuck on. The back room is where most of the work happens. There’s a tea stall just outside where we go when we need a break from the boxes and the humidity. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, people just see the sign and walk in. The shelves are packed with different types of robes and garments, sometimes so high that we need a ladder to reach the top ones. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, especially when the bazaar gets really busy during festival seasons. We just keep our heads down and keep moving. It’s a good spot to be, even with all the chaos outside. Sometimes we stay late just to finish packing because the morning traffic is too much to handle.
