Mamata Apparel & Textiles 11 Nana Street T. Nagar. T. Nagar is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it on Nana Street. Being at number 11 keeps us pretty busy. We deal with textiles and all sorts of apparel. The shelves are usually packed with different fabrics. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you want right away because there is so much, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our mornings unpacking new rolls and setting things up. Nana Street can be a bit of a squeeze with all the people walking by. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. It’s a plain shop, nothing like those big showrooms you see in the main market. We prefer it this way. It feels more real. We have some regulars who come in every few weeks to see what’s new in stock. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the business. We focus on the cloth and making sure the counts are right. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot, but we like the neighborhood. If you’re looking for us, we’re just a short walk from the main crossing. The sign is there, though it might need a bit of paint soon. We just keep doing our thing day after day because that is what we know.
