You can find us in Ambattur, specifically at 5/6 M.T.H. Road. We are right opposite Stedeford Hospital, which is the easiest way to tell people where to go if they get lost. The area is very industrial and the air always smells a bit like metal and exhaust from the passing trucks. Our workshop is a standard one with high ceilings and a lot of machinery that takes up most of the floor. It gets incredibly hot in the summer months and we have these big industrial fans that mostly just move the hot air around. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a long time. The floor is almost always covered in a bit of metal shavings no matter how many times we sweep it. It’s a noisy place because of the machines and the heavy traffic on the main road outside. We have a small partitioned corner for an office where the paperwork stays relatively clean. Most of our day is spent handling orders and fixing equipment for people. The hospital across the road is always busy, so there are people around at all hours of the night and day. We usually grab lunch from one of the small food stalls just down the street. It’s not a glamorous job but it is what we know how to do. The machinery we use is old but reliable. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a straightforward life here in Ambattur, surrounded by factories and city hum.
