Suha Leathers

Working with leather at 2,3,4, Dewan Rama Road is what we do every day. The smell of the hides is something you just get used to after a while. We have these three units next to each other, which makes moving the heavy rolls easier. Suha Leathers isn't some big corporate place with shiny floors. It's more of a workshop where we spend hours cutting and checking the skins. Some pieces have marks on them, so we have to work around those. It takes time. The lighting in the back isn't the best, but we've got our spots where we check the colors. My hands are usually stained from the dyes we use. We talk to the suppliers quite a bit, mostly just regular guys like us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we find things to do. The neighborhood is mostly other small businesses. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows us. When a big order comes in, we stay late and get it sorted. There’s a lot of physical labor involved, lifting and stacking. It’s tiring but it’s what we know. We don’t do anything fancy with advertising. Most people find us because they know we’re here on Dewan Rama Road. It’s just honest work with our hands and the machines we’ve had for years. It isn't always pretty, but we get the job done and send the leather out.
