Sudha & Bros.

Sudha & Bros. is a family-run kind of place at No. 43 on Mayor Basudev Street. Washerman Pet is a crowded area, and our street is no different. We deal in various goods, mostly things that local people and other shops need. My brothers and I have been running this together for quite some time. The shop is narrow and deep, with things stacked all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit hard to find things sometimes if you don’t know where to look. We don’t have any fancy display cases. Everything is just in bins or on wooden shelves. We get a lot of people coming in just to chat while they buy what they need. It gets very hot in the summer because the building is old and doesn't have much ventilation. We just keep the front door open and a small fan running. We handle all the heavy lifting ourselves. Sometimes our kids come by after school to help out with the small stuff. It’s a lot of long hours but we like being our own bosses. We don’t do any big promotions or sales. We just sell things at the prices we can afford and hope people keep coming back. It’s been working for us so far and we don't plan on changing much. We just keep the books by hand and go home tired.
