We are over on Habibullah Road in T. Nagar. It's an old house converted into an office at number 65, though some people still use the old number 20 when they’re looking for us. Studio Pelle has been around for a while. We work mostly with leather goods and design stuff. It’s a bit of a messy process sometimes. You’ll see samples and sketches lying around on the tables. T. Nagar is a crowded area, so finding parking near the office can be a real headache for our visitors. We usually tell them to take an auto if they can. Inside, it smells like leather and coffee. We have a small team here. Everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to checking the quality of the hides that come in. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits. We’re usually in jeans, working through the pile of orders we have for the week. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is due, but we try to get home for dinner. The neighborhood is full of shops and life, so there's always somewhere to grab a quick snack when we're busy. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a good way to earn a living, making things that people actually use. We don't have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest just goes to the door.
