This college has its place on Kamaraj Salai in Ashok Nagar. It’s a well-known area, and the street stays pretty active with people going to work or running errands. Inside the college, things are usually a bit quieter than the street, except for when the bell rings. We are focused on education here, specifically for those wanting to become teachers. The office where we work is filled with old cabinets and wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our mornings checking attendance and sorting through student files. It’s an older building, so it has that specific smell of paper and chalk. We don't have a glossy corporate lobby. Instead, there are notice boards with pinned-up schedules and maybe some faded posters. Ashok Nagar is a nice part of the city, but the humidity can be a real pain during the summer months, making the office feel a bit stuffy. We keep the windows open when we can to get a breeze from Kamaraj Salai. It’s a place of learning, but for those of us on the staff side, it’s mostly about keeping the records straight and making sure the day runs without any major problems. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, but it’s steady work in a familiar neighborhood. We've been here a long time and the routine is what keeps us going through the year.
