Linghi Chetty Street is always crowded. We've been at 238/5 (old 202/5) for a bit now. We handle imports and exports. It's mostly paperwork and boxes. Some days are slow, others we can't keep up. We just do the job. My desk is messy but I know where everything is. If you come by, the building is old. People ask why the numbers changed from 202/5 to 238/5, but that's just how the city does it. We deal with overseas stuff. It takes time for things to arrive by ship. We wait on the port a lot. Most of our work is making sure things get from one place to another without too much trouble. It's not fancy work, just logistics and moving goods. We keep the doors open and try to stay organized. The street outside is noisy with trucks and rickshaws all day long. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit and wait. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go around here. We just stay steady. It's a lot of phone calls. The heat gets bad in the afternoon. We have a small fan that barely works. But we get the shipments sorted. Shipping can be a headache with all the rules. We just follow the steps. Most people who work here live nearby. We walk or take the bus. It's just a regular office doing regular trade work. We don't have any big signs out front, just a small one.
